Web site Design and Development

Development Process

  • The first stage of developement consists of designing the skin for your Web site and adding some of the content. You will be contacted by a QMS designer, where you can tell the designer what you like and what you don’t like about the look and feel. This may involve changing the font styles or sizes and other cosmetics and moving some content around.

  • The second stage involves the input of content/data.  If we are developing an online store or online catalog this stage will include the entering of product data and store configuration. Since the store can be configured many different ways, a QMS developer will work with you to determine the best configuration for your needs. When the site has a skin and the store has some content and begins to exhibit the look and feel we are after, we move on to the final stage.

  • The final stage consists of entering the remainder of your content and any finishing touches.

How To Build A Web Site & Get Exposure
Small business is traditionally responsible for creating 80 percent of all new jobs in this country and the entreprenuers who run those businesses are the driving force for new innovations in almost every field. To that end many of these small businesses will have a need to ramp up exposure to their new products or services quickly. This article will provide an overview of how to get your Web site up and running quickly and how to start driving the traffic you'll need to be successful.

Identify the Purpose of Your Web Site
Why do you have a Web site? Is it to sell your product or service? Perhaps, you just want to provide valuable information and have visitors call you. Whatever it may be, it is important to remember the purpose of your Web site when you are building each page. If you are trying to generate leads, be sure to ask the visitor to "Call Now" or "Email Us Today" and provide the needed information to call or send an email. If you are selling a product or service, be sure to give the visitor multiple opportunities to "Buy Now" or "Add To Cart". Never underestimate the power of a carefully placed call to action.  Click here for more on this topic
