Here are some useful programs to find those
stubborn malware and spyware infections.

Here is a tool that has been getting quite a bit of press lately, it's called Spybot. This tool is made available as a free download by Patrick M. Kolla. This little tool is great for clearing out all sorts of nasty little data harvesters and ad-generators. If you find your system unexpectedly slowing down, run Spybot. Not only does it clear out the offending programs, it also immunizes your system from future attacks of that particular threat. This is a nice little tool that I discovered thanks to Spybot (see above). It's called Spyware Blaster. This tool is made available as a free download by JavaCool Software. This tool is great for clearing out all sorts of nasty little spyware and malware. If you find your system unexpectedly slowing down, run Spybot, Ad-Aware and then Spyware Blaster. Not only does it clear out the spyware, it also immunizes your system from future attacks of that particular threat. Here is a tool that we liked so much we purchased a copy for every one of our workstations Ad-Aware. This tool is made available as a free demo download by Lavasoft. They are the industry leader in "anti-trackware" solutions. It's great for clearing out all of the click-trackers. If you find your system unexpectedly slowing down, run Spybot (see above) and then run Ad-Aware to be sure. The Professional version comes with "Ad-Watch" a pop-up blocker.
